Homeopathy approach to health-disease
Classical Homeopathy sees the human being as a whole, where the emotions, thoughts and body interact. The body's own immune system is strong enough to withstand the disease, regain balance and get well on their own care. However, if the body's defense mechanism is weakened, it needs some outside help to kick-start the healing process.
Homeopathic medicines stimulate the individual to achieve a balance on all levels; mentally, emotionally and physically.
What can be treated with homeopathy?
Most medical conditions can be treated. Homeopathy helps in both acute and chronic diseases. Many seek a homeopath only when no other methods have helped. Experience shows, however, that the earlier the treatment begins, the faster is the healing process.
Under Swedish law, homeopaths do not treat children under the age of eight years old and pregnant women.
Sweden is the only country in Europe that has limitations on the treatment of children and pregnant with alternative medical practices.
How does the treatment work?
The first visit of a homeopath takes 1.5-2.5 hours. The homeopath starts with addressing the client's medical history. Since there is a specific homeopathic medicine for a specific disease need, the homeopath finds the right medicine that matches the client's whole picture at all levels. Two people with ear infections may for example need two entirely different homeopathic medicines.
The homeopath needs to know when those symptoms arose, how they manifest themselves and what relieves or aggravates the symptoms, and if the appetite, sleep, previous illness, medications, and the person’s character. Homeopaths prescribe homeopathic medicine based on the information collected about the person and as well as a special analysis system called repertorisation.
Return visit
A return visit booked usually after four weeks. In acute disease occurs following up the very next day or the day after the first visit.
On the return visit homeopath check that the patient's reactions to homeopathic medicines follows the rules for a correct recovery.
The medicine is then taken according to the instructions given by the homeopath.
